Welcome to my WikiSpaces Page. This website will be used to critique music that students in your class or other classes have created. Please take the time to listen to and critique as many as you can (at least 3).
You will create your own page for each project to be critiqued.
1. First you must sign into the wikispaces using your user name.
2. Click on "New Page" on the left column at the top.
3. Title your page "(First Name, Last Initial) Ken R
4. On that page add a description like: "Check out my lesson 1 project."
5. Upload the mixed down MP3 version of your file (*.mp3) along with the mixcraft file (*.mx5).
6. After all that is done you need to create a discussion tab for your project.
7. Click on Discussion tab and create a new discussion. Give it the title or your project "KenR-Lesson1"
8. Add a description saying something like "Please critique my composition"
9. Don't forget to save as you edit the pages. 10. Each time you upload a new lesson. Upload it to your page. You will not create a separate page each time. 11. Don't forget to post on others assignments.
Note: When critiquing compositions avoid negativity. Use positive critiquing methods. Look at the sample page I create "Project 1 - Information Page". Under the discussion tab I wrote a short critique on my own composition.
Also attempt to use as much music vocabulary when critiquing the compositions. For example; dynamics, tempo, texture are great music words to use when critiquing.
"I liked it!" or "Awesome" is not a critiquing method.
